The picnic helped students make new acquaintances with other students and the faculty. Activities of the night, of course, included all the hot dogs, beans, potato chips, and pop one could consume. Each one roasted his own hot dogs and marshmallows over a blazing campfire--that is, un- less he could find someone nice enough to brave the heat for him. After the eating was finished, everyone could do his own thing in participating in any sport he preferred. There was a wide variety ranging from just getting acquainted to playing catch or baseball. Finally, everyone left with appetite fully satisfied and with many new friends.
