FD Intramural Porgram Is Growing The purpose of the intramural program was to provide an opportunity for all students to take part in athletic com- petition below the varsity level. Par- ticipation Was limited to intra-campus Competition. The sports offered in the Ft. Dodge Center Program were flag football and softball in the fall, basketball and wrestling during the winter months, and softball again in the spring. The intramural program at Fort Dodge was still in the developmental stages and was somewhat restricted by the lack of availability of facilities. It was hoped that the program would grow as Iowa Central grows and matures in the future. Members of one of the flag football teams figure out their strategy as the quarterback ties his shoe! if Here two team set up for action. The flag football games, played this fall, were usually held in the field across from the Dorms. 152
