Ed Stiles practices welding in a welding booth. Monte Kreger welds a project for Farm Power. Students Learn Essentials of Welding Daniel Cramer and Ronald Christenson make arc welds. Under the instruction of Mr. James Nelson, students in the eighteen-week welding program learned the skills necessary to become successful Welders. The course was conducted on a laboratory basis, with equipment comparable to that found in modern in- dustries. Students perfected their skills in oxacety- lene welding and cutting, A.C. and D.C. arc weld- ing, pipe Welding, gas tungsten and gas metal arc welding. They received related instruction in read- ing blueprints and welding symbols and in testing welds. Arc Welders also learn how to protect themselves. ?as?Q55ie'i2iz
