Food D1'slribut1'0n Requires Modern Techniques The twenty-one month Food Marketing course prepared qualified people for management and supervisory careers in the food distribution in- dustry. Under the supervision of Mr. Ronald Rath and Mr. Harold Frentress, the students re- ceived on-the-job training, working closely with the Iowa Retail Food Dealers Association. Their classroom instruction involved work in market- ing, salesmanship, retailing, management, and accounting. The Food Marketing students attended several conventions and seminars in areas such as meat cutting and management. They also attended the Iowa Retail Food Dealers Convention and visited the Red Owl Stores in Minneapolis and the Safeway warehouse in Omaha.
