Curtis Williams gets a shot away against Marshall- Cal Lewis controls the tip for ICCC. Panther Basketball Stays at High Peak town. Bill Orr puts one in against Fred Brown. The ICCC Panthers finished their first season under Coach Dale Howard with an excellent record of 20 wins and 8 losses. Using a fast break- type of offense, the Panthers reeled off seven straight victories before being defeated. The team set a school record for total points scored in one game by smashing ICCC Eagle Grove, 130--93. In the opening round of Re- gional tournament play, the Panthers crushed Marshalltown, 101--67. In their next game, the team defeated second seeded York, Nebraska, 102--93. The season ended with a loss to Bur- lington in the semifinal round. The 1968-1969 season extended the tradition of fine basketball at ICCC and left expectations of another great season next year.
