Antigone Presented in Modern Dress The winter dramatic production at Fort Dodge was a modern version of the Antigone story based on an old Grecian legend. The play was directed by Mr. Fish and Mr. johnson. Magicians, genies, reincarnation, and magical lamps played an important part in the plays presented at Webster City this year. The fall play, Alladin and his Wonderful Lamp, dealt with the struggle between Aladdin and the evil magician for the possession of the magic lamp and the beautiful princess. rama Brings Culture to W. C. Campus The spring play, Good-Bye Charlie, dealt with the reincarnation of the playboy lover into the form of a girl. Both plays were outstanding for their quality and characterization. 103

Speech Festival Twenty students from Fort Dodge,thirteen from Eagle Grove and six from Webster City attended the State Junior College Speech Festival at Marshalltown in April. Students competed in the following categories: one-act play, play-reading, discussion and inter- pretive reading. Above--Bob Bremer of Fort Dodge in Dis- cussion at the Festivalg Gary Christiansen of Eagle Grove is second from the right. Below--Evelyn Kopp reads inter- pretive poetry.
