H'e knew we'd need to brush up on a few things before wt-'d he ready for comhat duty, hut we didn't suspect how much we had to learn until the gravel-voiced U.T.E. observers began taking us apart. NVQ' had il coming to us, though-and after a couple of frantic weeks under their critical scrutiny we began to polish up our evolu- tions until they started looking smart.

Then they told ns-only ONE reconnnissionecl ship, of all they hail put through training, thus far, had done as well as the IOWA! The welcome news was music to our ears. One more hurdle was well cleared, on our road to the Korean theatre.
