'togfe®?© IP®sUmm 1?®B0 IPBmy The 1986 Fall Play was the comedy Arsenic and Old Lace. In the play, two elderly ladies, played by Misti Ludwick and Sandy Packard, feel they are doing elderly men a mercy by killing them with poisoned elderberry wine. They are helped by their insane nephew, who thinks he is Theodore Roosevelt, in burying the gentlemen in their cellar. Teddy was played by Steve Pearson. When their other nephew Mortimer Brewster, (Cort Skoog), finds a body in the window seat he thought Teddy killed him. He wanted Teddy to be institutionalized immediately. Then the aunts were paid an unexpected visit by their third and last nephew, Jonthon, (Chris Hopkins) and his friend, Dr. Einstein (Joe Ferguson). Jonthon hadn't been home since he was a boy and he wasn't the kind of person you wanted to welcome into your home. This play was directed by Mr. Raymond Monte and student directed by Darryl Curtis. In charge of lighting was Cathy O'Mally. 5. 1. Joe, Chris, Sandy and Misti chat about old times. 2. Cort and Becky have a lovers quarrel. 3. Misti and Sandy try to persuade their unwanted guest to leave. 4. 1986 fall play cast. 5. Chris and Joe discuss a conniving plan. Jo Lynn Cole's pep and enthusiasm qualified her to be a member of the new pom pon squad. The addition of the the pom pon squad definitely made this an ELECTRIC YEAR!! Fall Play 17

11 ®S1©}0 flm December 13, 1986 was a great success as the Juniors put on a different kind of Christmas Dance! Beach Party was the theme for this years Christmas Dance. Students at IHS dressed for the beach, grabbed their bathing beauties and took off for the dance. The Christmas Dance was sponsored and organized by the entire Junior class. The music was provided by WBCH in Hastings. The palm trees which decorated-the IHS gym were donated by Sids Flower Shop. In the center of the gym there was a huge decorated tree, donated by Wilson’s Christmas Trees. Another year, another dance, another success!!!! 1. Kevin Wassom, President, and Joe Sawtell, Vice President, greet everyone at the door to wish them fun at the Christmas Dance. 2. Everyone is gathered around talking and dancing to the music by WBCH. 3. Matt Hofkamp waits for the volleyball to come down so he can spike it over for a point. 4. Marcus Gorham, and Paul Parkin are trying to pick up chicks by giving them their famous lines. 5. The students dance around the decorated Christmas Tree. 6. Lets dance here, by the boys playing volleyball! 7. Chad, if this is a beach dance, then where is the beach? Tommy looks like he's enjoying his lunch surrounded by flocks of admiring girls.
