Western Michigan University Howard North, B.A., M.A. Michigan State University The extensive social studies curriculum at Ionia High School offers interesting courses to all students. Freshmen learn about their interests and abilities, and plan their class schedules for their future years at IHS in the required semester of Guidance. All juniors get a sound background of United States history. Seniors prepare for active citizenship through the semester course in American government. World history and world geography enlarge the horizon of many students. Seniors may take either of the semester courses in sociology or economics if they so desire. Maxwell Everest, B.S.
