Ransom Science Club One of the larger and more active clubs at I.H.S. is the Science Club, composed of students majoring or minoring in science. Films, speakers, and demonstrations were planned for the monthly meetings. Members and their advisor, Mr. Gustav Beyer, sponsored two dances, a number of concessions, bake sales, and car washes, and a big Pizza Supper to earn money for their annual spring trip, which alternates between Detroit and Chicago. The group also toured the Michigan State University science facilities, inspecting many of the research projects in progress there. Several pieces of new ra- diological equipmentwere added to the physics lab at I.H.S. this year. Ann Stout is inspecting a stro- boscope, a dosimeter, a color-mixer, and three types of Geiger counters. Vv-,-,.-- num SCH0 . 2 I 0 wr New Physics Equipment spy L KIT S.
