Their purpose was to make a better school. One of the features that they concentrated on was noon hour activity, making arrangements for a place to play games and dance during this time. Another new activity was sending representatives of our Student Council to other schools to see how their groups operated in action. This year l.H.S. sent Betty Martin, Noel Rose, and Muriel Zeigler to the annual State Convention, April l5 and l6, at the Pantlind Hotel in Grand Rapids. The editors, Pat Lockwood and Carlyn Ziegler, with the help of Murrel Jinks, led the staff through a smooth and successful year. They had a pancake supper, sold candy several times, and had a dance. The big event of the year was the banquet, February IA, at the Masonic Temple. Reverend George Rentschler was toastmaster. The event is remembered by all as a big SUCCESS. They led the cheers at all the Varsity football and basketball games. Mary Ann Peabody was captain of the cheerleaders and Miss Katherine Kimball was the adviser. Junior Varsity Football Mr. Miller was the coach of the Junior Varsity football team. They won two games and lost three in the season.
