GLu 0 1953 The senior class of 1953 was led by class president, Jim Hood, and class advisors, Mr. L. T. Smith and Mrs. Rosemary Davidson. The class got an early start in its activities by presenting an all school party, The Big Kickoff, during the first week of school. The seniors also presented a Thanksgiving party, Turkey Trot, and the annual Christmas alumni dance, Winter Wonderland. The main class project was the publication of the 1953 Ionian. Class members took part on the annual staff and also sold ads and annuals. An annual assembly in February started the sale of annuals. Another important job was the planning and completing of graduation plans.
