Chandler Haight, Jr. BOARD OF EDUCATION The School Board consists of a group ot seven members, who serve With- out compensation, Those absent from the picture include Nels Strand and William Bedemsky. The Board of Education tor the lonia Public Schools has been exceedingly successful in executing plans for the betterment of the school. An issue was passed by the voters ot the District to enable the Board to begin plans on the construction of a gymnasium. The group also purchased two new school buses for the transportation ot students. Many ot the alumni ot lonia High School attended the reunion at Bertha Brock Park, Iune 10, l95O.
