Pat Thwaites and lim Adams filled the respective positions and established a new system of organ- ization called head editors. The head editors were responsible for definite parts of the edition. The staff had a busy year in which it staged both a fall and spring try-out program. The fall cubs were initiated in a formal ceremony in October with a potluck dinner. The annual Alumni Tea was held in December with many former Spot- lighters attending. The annual Spotlight picnic was held in the later part of May. The accom- plishments of the staff were more outstanding this year because of the fact that each Tuesday over six columns were devoted to our paper, averag- ing about 4800 column inches. The journalism class aided in putting out each edition. Fourteen staff members were awarded Quill and Scroll honors. LITTLE WHEELS B. Weisgerber N. Anslow Miss Argyle THE COGS Q i ' N R. Lintner C.
