Eyes and Ears of the School It s onl lt s otll Yes the Spotlrght was othcrally turned off rn tradrtronal style by the senrors who edrted the last rssue Iune 5 The 43 44 Spotlrght made 1lS debut on Septem ber 20 We hadnt realrzed that our newspaper skrlls were so rusty after vacatron but w1th four teen hard workrng veterans we made the dead l1ne Bob Brvett a senror who was our busrness manager left us to Jom the Navy Brll Youngs a talented sophomore we drscovered had a sports lrngo ot hrs own Cubs Yes there are new reporters erght ot them selected after several exasperatrng tryouts We met every Tuesday at ll 30 that rs all ot those that we could catch 1n the hall At the meetrngs we gave out assrgnments drscussed the An array ot odors came from those who must lunch durrng the meetrng because ot noon classes All stones had to be rn by ll 30 Thursday but that deadl1ne was seldom met Thursday and Frrday nrghts we typed our stones and wrote headlrnes Refreshments whrle we worked pepped up our last mrnute head wr1t1r1g Monday two students ambled down Unron hrll at ll 00 to proof read the tour columns we hoped to have What no tea?
