W I' If I Jane s Sumges 9090 . . . .WIN THIRD LEAGUE GAME was the big headline that appeared on the Spokesman-Review's sports page after Ione defeated Cusick in its fourth league game of the season. This was one of lone's total of four wins for the season. After losing six regular games, the Merry Go Round, and the Christmas Tournament, the Savages beat Metaline Falls on the lone floor, lost three more games, and downed MF again, that one in the Bearcats' gym. Both wins were by two points each. Then Ione lost again to Cusick, but defeated Valley. Three games and three losses later, Ione entered the County Tour- nament With the bye , Despite this bye , Ione was de- feated twice. Metaline Falls won the tournament.
