Hand 's Musical Slate Affine Two concerts were scheduled as highlights of the Ione Music Department's musical year. Thus far, one has been given QNov. 19j with the other in prospect for April 29. Proceeds for these and other musical events are being used for the purchase of new band instruments. Groups participating in the concerts are the I.H,S. Band, Mixed Chorus, Dance Band, and Soloists. Other activities have been the Christmas Program, appearances at the P. T,A. and a program presented last Fall at the Cusick High School. The Band sponsored the very popular appearance of Merlin, The Magician . At present writing, the I, H. S, Band in company with the Mixed Chorus will participate in the Eastern Washington Music Festival in Spokane on April 23. It is quite possible that the Band will also take part later in the year in the Lilac Parade.
