's .1 ,I -- - - 3 Q WMM The class of U54 has f1ve members who have completed twelve years of school m Ione They are Lo1s Haney, Sh1rley Graham Leo Hughes, Clifford Mltchell, and Davld Wldger Geraldme Carlson Jolned these flve in the second grade ln the thxrd grade Kay Dawson became a member as a result of the Txger schoolhouse closing Lorne Reed Jr became a member UI the 7th grade Havmg tlred of her own class but mostly wanting to graduate ln three years, Colleen Blalr became a member at the begmnmg of the 2nd semester of our .Tumor year Ioan Hudgms, the eleventh and flnal addxtlon to our class, came at the 2nd semester of our Semor year As Freshmen, we were tradztlonally mxtxated and gave the annual return party for the sophomores We gave candy sales and a one act play called Culture' , wlth an all glrl cast As Sophomores, we inxtxated the Freshmen, gave candy sales a few record dances, and two one act plays called The Great Joanne Th Youngest When we became Juniors, we gave dances after games and a few candy sales In the spring of that year we gave an Easter Break fast and gave a fairly successful Jumor Prom As Seniors we gave a Senior Ball ln December We raffled off a cedar chest, gave one or two record dances, sold concessions at games and later in the sprlng agam sponsored an Easter Breakfast Also in the sprmg we sponsored a maglclan show and our mothers gave a rummage and bake sale for us to raise money to go on our trip to Seattle We completed the year by leavmg ln the afternoon of the 13th of May for Seattle We had an interesting, wonderful, and very educational trip We returned on the 16th of May Now as this, our last year draws to a close, we leave the Name Senior and all it means to the class of 55 and we hope they w1ll en1oy it as much as we have ll ' . . 3 cr y - - - l ii and e . . - . l . . law Today, as the Semors of '54 slowly pass from slght, there IS left a w1ll with many wonderful things 1n It for these lucky hexrs I, Kay Dawson, w1ll my hexght to Kay Smn so that she can look over the wmdow s1ll 1n her senxor year I, Gerry Carlson, w11l my ab1l1ty to get along w1th the teachers Carol Maupln I Dortha Weaver, wlll my ab1l1ty to tell whlte flbs to Patc Weaver so that she wlll not get 1nto trouble wxth George Basnaw I, Ioan Hudgxns, will leave I, Colleen Blaxr, wxll my abxlxty to get ahead to my brother Larry I, Lo1s Haney, will my 'B average to Bxlly Haney so that lt can be kept in the famxly Shxrley Graham, wxll my first trumpet cha1r to Bobby Barton Lorne Reed, w1ll my ab1l1ty to win bets to Mr Wxlson Leo Hughes, w1ll my love for Fords to Norman Arthur I, Clifford Mltchell, w1ll my helght to Richard Eveland I, David Widger, will my ab111ty to get along with English teachers to Dave Cox To the student body we wxll our sweet presence in hxgh school, for we know we w1ll be mxssed when we have gone To the Juniors we will our patlence and calmness so that they will not get mad when they have to graduate the day aiter school IS out To the sophomores we wxll our abxlity to get along wlth the teachers To the freshmen we wlll our worldly intcllxgence CLASS MOTTO T0 A BETTER FUTURE CLASS FLOWER CARNATION CLASS COLORS SILVER AND GOLD Q . . . . . to , . . . . . . May, 19 Dear 54ers In case you are wondermg what has become of your classmates, here IS the whole story Gerry Carlson celebrates her tenth weddmg annlversary next month She llves on a farm ln Coeur d Alene with her husband and elght chxldren The last tnme I talked to her she told me that she just loved farm lxfe They are raxslng pxgs David Wxdger became a great sclentlst after he graduated from college People say he IS twlce as smart as Emsteln, and he xs worklng on a theory to end all theorxes Kay Dawson married ln 1955 Her husband owns a pretzel factory and they are qulte wealthy Kay has four chrldren but she's planmng on an even dozen ' The more the merr1er,' she says Joan Hudglns has been quite successful m the way of matrimony She has been marrled and divorced 4 txmes and IS now back wlth her flrst younger so she could start all over agam Lorne Reed moved from lone 1n 54 He has a partnershlp 1n lumber mxll III Seattle now Sue and he have sur chlldren Shirley Graham became a band leader She IS very famous now Several years ago she marrled her trombone player Now they are ralsmg a bunch of little drumme Leo Hughes uncovered a rich gold mine one day whlle he was plow ing an alfalfa field He became quite a playboy and drives around in an orange Cadillac He has never married and has a dxfferent girl frxend every other week Lois Haney married a European duke while she was travelling abroad She lives nn a castle ln Spain during the summer and goes to the French Riviera during the winter Colleen Blair married UI 1957 Her husband is a famous Western movie star Colleen doesn't mind his being in the movies as long as he only kisses hrs horse Clifford Mitchell went to work for the dam after he graduated Since then he travels with the Pacific Bridge Co He is assistant super intendent now and owns a gold plated traller house Dortha Weaver went to Cuba after she graduated from W W C E She is rather vague about her occupatron and a lot of people think she has become a witch doctor, dealmg mostly in VooDoo Yours very truly, Prudence C Wertis 64 . . , . .
