For us to mention here all sources of data or to name all individuals Who have so kindly responded might seem invidious. On one November night acameraman set out to take a picture of the Board of Education of the lola Schools when much to the surprise of many, he found them playing with the animals at the circus. Really, it made for a grand settingeThe Board of Directors of lola's Greatest Circus of 48. It is the Board of Directors of any organization that determines the basic policies of that organ- ization. So it is with our circus; it is our Board of Directors that determines the basic policies of our show. This guiding group consists of six elective members, the superintendent, the clerk, and the treasurer, the latter being appointive members. Naturally, our Board of Directors do not spend all of their time with the business of the show. It might be said that during the time they are in winterquarters they engage in other businesses. Pictured from left to right we find Walter Maudelin, linotypist at the lola Register, our sen- ior member who has given nine long years of untiring service as a director; I. W. Ostenberg, Superintendent of Schools, a new-comer in our midst, who has served our show the past two years; Charles L. Wilson, President of the Board, an independent oil and gas distributor, owns and operates a service station on North Washing- ton; Mack C. Colt, an independent oil and gas producer; John L. McNally, another showman in the oil and gas business, operates a Sinclair Service Station on East Street; Walter Crick de- votes his vacation time to the lola Milling Com- pany; C. L. Hoyt, Vice-president, also an inde- pendent oil and gas producer; and Ella M. Jen- sen, Clerk of the Board of Directors serves as Secretary to Superintendent Ostenberg.
