LEIT WE FDIQIEET SEPTEMBER 5 --- MAY 26 Thirty-seven Frolicky Freshmen, as we were called, started their first year of high school life on September Sth. We soon became acquainted with one another and elected Joan Oligney as our Class President, Donna Zilz, Vice President, Beverly Smith, Secretary, and Duane Wegener, our Treasurer. we elected Ruth Johnson and Billy Myers to represent us on the Student Council. Mr. Olson was our Class Advisor. The big event of the year for us was the NFreshmen Welcome Party,u which was held on October lst. During the year we lost one student, Joyce Deschler, and gained Jim Brown. Beverly Smith and-Joen Oligney were on the B cheerleading squad. Joey Gjertson took-part in the one act play. A number of freshmen entered the forensics program. Those who received A's at the local contest and represented us at the league contest in Bonduel were Chester Ernst, Joey Gjertson, and Beverly Smith. SEPTEMBER 6 --- MAY 21+ ' Our Sophomore year began with an enrollment of 38 Sedate Sophomores. We elected as class officers the following: President, Ruth Johnson, Vice President, Joey Gjertson' Secretary Brenda Gaskellg and Treasurer, Omar Olson. Joan Oligney and Larry Boe represented the class on the Student Council. Mrs. Cable was our Class Advisor. During the course of the year Sharon and Shirley Wogsland left us. Beverly Smith and Joan Oligney were on the B cheerleading squad of which Joan was captain. The following boys were on the basketball squad: Joey Gjertson, Gary Larson, Eugene Voie, Eugene Mortenson, Roger Carlson, Billy Doxrude, and David Groenier. Duane Wegener Duane Olson, Joey Gjertson, Billy Myers, Roger Carlson, and Gary Larson represented us on the baseball team. Joan Oligney took part in the one act play. A number of our class took part in forensics. Those who received A's at the local contest and went to Marion were Joey Gjertson, Chester Ernst, Donna Zilz, and Beverly Smith. SEPTEMBER 5 --- MAY 26 The class enrollment on September 5th, totaled 37 Jaunty Juniors. The class chose Donna Zilz as Class President, Joan Oligney, Vice President, Glenna Rasmussen, Secretary, and Duane Olson as Treasurer. Jay Olson and Ruth Johnson represented our class on the Student Council. Miss Martin was our Class Advisor. We lost Brenda Gaskell during the course of the year. On April 12th, the Junior Class presented two one act plays, uTommy's Growing Painsn and nAntic Spring.n Seven Juniors went out for forensics. Joan Oligney and Beverly Smith were on the A cheer- leading squad. A number of boys represented our class in basketball-and baseball. For our Prom, Billy Doxrude.and Ruth Johnson reigned as King and Queen to the theme, nMoonl1ght and Roses.n Ruth Johnson went to Badger Girls State and Omar Olson and Larry Boa went to Badger Boys State. SEPTEMBER H --- MAY 25 On September Hth, 3M Sophisticated Seniors began their last year of high school. Among the familiar faces we found two missing--Beverly Smith and Roger Carlson. We elected Duane Jlson as our President, David Groenier, Vice President, Glenna Rasmussen, Secretary5,and Judy Egeland, Treasurer. Joan Oligney and Jay Olson represented us on the Studnet Council. Joey Gjertson was elected Student Council President by the student body. Miss Cleaves was our class advisor. Four seniors took part in the one act play. Ruth Johnson received the D.A.R. Award. Enid Cleaves won the Betty Crocker Homemaking Award. Our Class Play nBra1n Stormn tookplaceon May 8th. Many boys were members of the basketball and baseball teams. Our Class Colors were Lavender and White white Rose was they Class Flower and the motto was uOut of School Life, Into Lifa's School. This concludes the history of our class.
