He will graduate the next day if he gets the paper in on time. But to add to his difficulty, all the graduation turmoil and visitors do not help his powers of concentration. The first upheaval occurs when Mr. Purcell arrives. Forgetting that they had promised him a room in the house, the boys mistake him for an eccentric artist's model whom Vic is expecting. Having been warned that the man may be somewhat erratic, they find it necessary to gag and tie Mr. Purcell to make him pose. When released, lVlr. Purcell not only withdraws himself from the scene, in fury, but withdraws also his offer, to present a new science building to the college. Another crisis occurs when Howard's Aunt Maude arrives and discovers that he has not passed his Zoology course. Posing as a famous zool0giSt, Aunt Maude meets Professor Bean and begins her campaign to get Howard out of college. With this sort of co-operation, the young people decide to put on an act to get Mr. Purcell to renew his offer of a new science build- in . g One emergency after another arises until, with one final explosion, the curtains close .... Obviously there is nothing lethargic about this kind of spring fever. lf you haven't hafl your attack of the disease yet, you'V6 missed part of your education.
