CLASS WILL The senior class of 1950 was gathered together to make out their last will and testament. Each one had been told to have something to give to the undergraduates as a token of their esteem. The first one to volunteer after a long, long wait was cute little June Roe, who off- ered to give her dimples to Betty Peschke, since Betty already had some and would probably like some more. Now Russell Kolden raised his hand, saying that if June wasn't scared of being one of the first to. will something, he sure wasn't, and said he would will his dancing abil- ity to Russell Bergen. David Nelson's voice sounded next with his offer to give his old Congressional Records to Margie Schmidt--he hoped that she would be able to get through at least ONE of them. There was a short silence and then Donald Dineen clicked his fingers and exclaimed that he was willing to give his ability for cracking such timely little wisecracks to LaVern Olson. Donald Olson said Joan Voie could have his Al Jolson voice. Avis Knutson spoke up next by offering her blue Mondays to Marilyn Wright--and then Elsie said she'd leave her cheerleading ability with Betty Jones. Ailo Olson said he was willing to leave his I Love You notes to Billy Smith, provided Billy use them sparingly. Then Dor- othy Austin raised her voice above the hubbub of the room and said she was leaving all the days of school she missed to David Grove, hoping he would have as much fun as she did. Her pal, Phyllis Beyer said she was going to give her studying ability to Walter Byersdorf. Shirley Winkler, Lila Aasen and Mildred Narlock all got together and decided on Shirley's getting rid of her giggles by giving them to Jean Thompson, Laila willing her dainti- ness to Ronnie Tschurwald, and Millie giving her good times up north to Dorothy Knutson. Albert Weinmann spoke up next, and said he was willing his curly hair to Gwen Dain and added that he hoped she would appreciate it. Eugene Nassen said he was willing his jealousy to Donny Mork because he didn't need it anymore. Sid Ellingson gave all the seniors a big smile and said he would give his ability to flirt to Jerorne Strand. Lois Morrison rose and said sweetly that she couldn't will anything because she had already given it to Eugene. Then Doris Solberg spoke right up and said she was going to give her speaking ability to Joan Winkler. Next, Art Thompson raised a hand most sorrowfully and said he would give his Ford to any- one who felt they could keep it going. Stanley Sever son offered all his persistance to Dick Hungerford with best wishes. Donna Forseth stood up very shyly, and said she would give some of her shyness to Nancy Smith. After Donna sat down, Shirley Bergen and Charlotte Aronson said they were willing to give their duet-ability to lris Louison and Lee Meyers. Joyce McKellips wills her friendly smile to Gordon Flaata, and Gene Her- manson willed his ability to get along with Mrs. Knutson to little Hank Sol- berg. The next thing this happy bunch of seniors did, was decide on what to will the teachers. This is the result: To Miss Cleaves, they left a big garbage can to throw all the old love magazines away in. Miss Hines was willed a jet plane so she could get down to Milwaukee so much quicker. and a new laboratory and electric dishwasher were to be given to Mr. Krienke. To Mr. Deikroeger, they left their shorthand and bookkeeping books in the fond hope that maybe HE could decipher them! The seniors decided that a cover was to be given Mr. Whitinger since so many ping-pong balls had nearly been dissolved after landing in the open acid jar. Mr. Bizer was willed all the excuse slips they forgot to hand in. Mr. Stephan was left some basketball players like Claude, Russ, Don, and Ubby. Mrs. Testin was willed all the blue notes the band hit during the music Tournament and Mrs. Knutson was willed another student with as much talkativeness as Gene Hermanson. THE END
