Foreword During our lifetime, most of us will travel to the far side of the nearby state of South Dakota, and there view the majestic monument of the Four Presidents, carved on the face of Mt. Rushmore. Also, probably most of us will travel to the East to view the many monuments erected in our nation's capital. Along the way, on our travels, we will see many smaller, lesser-known monuments--but none the less memorial. These are the school buildings, built brick upon brick, stone upon stone, in honor of the living, growing members of the community. The newer school buildings, or monuments, are not so easy to see along the highways. They have no bell towers, no second and third stories. They are broad at the base with room for all who come. They are symbolic of our present-day beliefs in education--a solid foundation upon which to build lives, and branches out from the fundamentals into areas of specialization to meet the needs of each one. Our TRAVELOG '63 Will show you how the school community of Interstate 35 progressed this year, building not in a material way, but nevertheless building the lives of its young people.

For your labors we are sincerely thankful and appreciative. May we, in our journey through life, establish new monuments that will re- flect with credit upon the devotion you have shovsm us. May we, as individuals, join with you, the community, in the effort to establish in this school district a monument to education that will be the pride of all who live hereg and to those passing hy, a symbol of our service and love.
