Class History In the fall of 1959, twenty-six students enrolled as Freshmen at New Virginia High School: Martha Stuart, Diana Erlewine, Marilyn Peterson, David Leachman, Steve Forman, Ilene Smalley, Eric Lundby, Neil Snider, Eric Schaffer, Paul Crawford, Charles Stills, Galen Slye, Elaine Harris, Roderick Page, James Thomason, Bob Bodtke, Donna Kennedy, Vernon Kirkpatrick, Steven King, Charles Baker, Doris Alexander, David Ballard, Gary Vickroy, Alvin Vickroy, Lucy Jones, and Danny Tracy. With the addition of the St. Marys students and Monty Morris, their total as Sophomores increased to thirty-one. New class members were Dixie Dobson, Ruth Kennedy, Judy Shutt, Larry Warren, Linda Warren, and Donald Young. The class enrolled at Interstate as Juniors, twenty-five strong. Pat Warden joined here. As they entered the Senior year, they had only twenty-two riding in from New Virginia. Those who started to Primary together and are graduating together are: Charles Stills, Elaine Harris, Doris Alexander, Roderick Page, Paul Crawford, Martha Stuart, Neil Snider, Steve Forman, Galen Slye, David Leachman, Eric Lundby, Lucy Jones, Eric Schaffer, and Marilyn Peterson. That same fall of '59, the Freshman class of Truro High had an enrollment of twenty-three students. They were: DeVon Woods, George Jones, Janet Mease, Georgia Zittrauer, Jeff Patterson, Roxalee Muselman, Larry Whitlatch, Rick and Gary Williams, Gary Phillips, Bonnie Smith, Linda Bulkeley, Roger McCuddin, Jerry Clarke, Don Coleman, Sherry Stevens, Bill Gabel, David Wright, Gwen Myrtue, Jean Smith, Elizabeth Phillips, Sandy Schamerhorn and Carol Evison. In the spring of the year, Donna Kennedy moved over from New VirginiQ In the Sophomore year, Gwen, Jean, and David left, but Bob Chiles moved in. As Juniors at Interstate, there were no gains or losses in class membership. In the 1963 class at Interstate, there are nine who have attended school in this building since kindergarten. They are: Linda Bulkeley, Jerry Clarke, George Jones, Janet Mease, Roxalee Muselman, Jeff Patterson, Gary Phillips, Bonnie Smith, and Carol Evison. At St. Charles in 1950, twelve bright little youngsters started Primary, and of that group David Lathrum, Russel Strawn, Theola Bedwell, Nancy McDonald, and June Schnoor have stayed together to be graduated from Interstate in 1963. Marilyn Cunningham entered during the year. Catherine Bell and Norma F ollowwill came in the third grade, and Wally Seibert arrived the next year. When this group entered high school, they were joined by Carole Blair, Janey Murphy, Larry Strable, Eldon Fife, Lynn Ash, Robert Rudolf, Iqani Smith, Bonnie Stra le, and Gretchen Kinsinger. As Juniors, the St. Charles group became Travelers, and Jim Holland moved in. Here the class sponsors were Miss Murl Clarke and Mr. Bill Tarvin. Mr. Darrel Acker has been our Senior sponsor.
