Administration An efficiently operating school depends on the compe- tence and enthusiasm of a full administrative staff, and with this intention, Dr. Wilson Kresge was appointed assist- ant to the principal, Mr. John Weichel. Thus, Interboro finally enjoyed the services of a full team. Led by Dr. James Burk, these men have performed admi- rably in maintaining harmony and providing sufficient op- portunities for all students to receive the best education possible. They benefited pupils by resolving numerous problems confronting the student body. 9

One of its most important duties was the careful scrutiny of the annual budget and the wise expenditure of local tax money; one of its chief concerns was its compliance with state reorganization mandates by means of an Interboro-Tinicum join- ture. Guidance The Guidance Department offered a service designed to assist students in selecting and individualizing their courses of study. It aided students in ascertaining their abilities and interests, and in determining the best way to develop them. Furthermore, it acted as liason agent between par- ent, teacher, and student, thus promoting understanding through adequate communication. Library and Reading During 1964-1965, the Reading Department offered stu- dents reading improvement courses, and made available an extensive library of books to suit every level of reading ability. The main library, on the other hand, served all students, whatever their demands were, and the librarian was aided in this service by members of the Library Club and by Li- brary Aids. MRS. JON A.
