Students trimmed trees in every room, drew designs on boards and windows, and ushered in the Joyous Season with songs and celebrations. Edwina Collin and Janet Hock hang balls and tinsel on the tree in IB, as Joan Clark places the Infant Jesus in the Crib beneath-

We Brought Volumes of Happiness to the Children of Southern Maryland Father William Stricker, pastor of the Newport parish, distributes gifts to his Negro parishioners during the party. il!!! HITIHKU All ready for Southern Maryland, a group of Crusaders stand with piled-up cartons which are destined to bring a lot of Christmas joy to the children of Newport. Christmas wouldn't be complete with the Crusade's annual party at Newport, the Diamond Unit's adopted mission. For weeks ahead, stu- dents carne to school laden with mysterious-looking packages, containing toys, clothing, and goodies for the white and negro children who were to attend the affair. Crusaders traveled by bus to their destination and ex- perienced real joy in finding how much happiness they had brought to the group of eager youngsters. 82
