Decorated with flowers and candles, the main altar in the chapel is the center of devotion during the three days of special prayer. The entire student body assembles in the chapel for a daily period of prayer. Every year, in early December, the exercises of the Forty Hours Devo- tion are held in the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows. During their period before the Blessed Sacra- ment, students sang hymns and prayed for the needs of Church and State.
