GYNINASIUNI-w'here our school develops its physical well-being and our athletes 'win trophies. A junior class re- ceives instructions in the art of marching as they learn that practice makes perfect. Various Activities YARD-SCHOOL GAR- DEN. During the warm fall and spring days, students re- lax heneath the trees as they lake their noon refreshments. IJUNCHROOM-this one happens to be known as the green room. The gayest and noisiest period of the day, as enjoyed by a group of hungry sophomores. 18

Doing additional as- signments requires in- formation to be found only in a library. That's just what Mary L00 Vaeth is doing as she is handed her hook by Sister Alvin, the librarian.

Filled in the Day SLATE STAIRS- in the absence of escalators and ele- vators, students are forced to use this more common form of transportation. The happy smiling faces of Mary .lane Barry and Bihhs Crosby in- dicate that they are on their way down the steps to leave school. OUTSIDE VIEW OF ENTRANCE- iron grill- work adorns the students' en- trance to the Institute. Pat Peach, Peggy Toner, Mary Evelyn Gunning, Ann Malloy, Pat McCourt, Ann Mc.-Xtee, Jane Vavrina and Rose Marie Wist make their daily depart- ure a few minutes after the dismissal bell. 19 SEWING ROOM- here un- derclassmen learn to sew a fine seam worthy of zz fashion show. A group of sophomores try to Hnish their last stitches before the three o'clock bell rings.
