Girls Athletnc Assocuatlon The gurls meet Tuesday and Frzday They play soft ball rn the sprmg and volleyball dur mg the wmter The G A A gxrls held a gypsy party on the eighth of September xn honor of the new members who are as follows Kay Coventry Jamce Sample Frances Scholz and Neva Walton The former members Imogene Davns Joan Coventry Evelyn Davxs lla June Coon Wxlda Stamp Carolyn Watson Murna Scholz Jeane Scholz Naomx Ross Yvonne Smrth Eva Cunnlngham Vxckxe Sue Hutton and Luetta Coon planned the party for them For entertamment we drew slxps of paper out of a grab bag The slxps of paper told a stunt whxch the person was to perform Also each member had hns fortune told at the for tune tellxng booth The fortunes were told by Mrs Gray The lunch was served m knapsacks around the campfxre Durmg lunch stor1es were told by Mrs Gray and Vxckx Sue Hutton Then songs were sung by all After lunch a prlze was awarded to the member who guessed closest to the correct number of nails ln a Jar The wmner was Joan Coventry There was also a prlze whlch was won by Janice Sample for the best gypsy costume The sponsors were Mrs Gray and Miss Keyes Pep Club The twelve Pep Club members have had a very actwe year The organized September 6 at whrch tlme the followlng offxcers were elected Presndent Imogene Davxs Secretary and Treasurer Carolyn Watson Student Counc1l Representatwe Joan Coventry The members sold Christmas cards and sold at two farm sales The returns from these actwxtxes helped pay for the new unxforms made by Mrs Floyd Keyes and Mlss Murl Keyes At the games the girls wore royal blue Jumpers gold blouses and blue necktnes The leaders Carolyn Watson and Evelyn Davls wore gold corduroy sknrts blue jersey blouses vtxth txger emblems on the back blue txghts tan shoes and blue and gold beames Mr Br1ght helped the gxrls prepare the blue megaphones lettered rn gold The day of our fxrst game we presented the rally Th1s ls One for Joe The entxre school attended It seemed to be effectwe as we won our fxrst game . 1 . . . i - . . . . Chorus Music IS under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gray. It is divided into tvao sections Girls Glee Club and Boys' Glee Club.
