TlGER'S TALE The name of our school paper is the Tiger's Tale. During the first semester the paper was published bi-weekly, and during the second semester, monthly. RED CANDLES The entire student body of grades one through eight presented a Christmas operetta on Thursday evening, December 23, 1948, in the high school auditorium. Red Candles was the title of the presentation. The Christmas story which the operetta told was that of two children who had come to America from Norway with their mother. They had become separated from her soon after their arrival, and had been under the guardianship of a cruel and heartless lawyer for several years before the action of the operetta begins. How the Christmas dreams of these children came true made an entertaining Christmas story. There were fairies, a rabbit, and even Santa himself, to bring smiles to every face and joy to each heart.
