From the heat of late summer through the chill of early fall, we know our boys worked very hard for the team. They had desire, determination, and spirit; and we were proud of them. Success is not measured by victory alone. Any athlete becomes a cham- pion when he personally gives all he has, and a little more, to the team. Ours was a team of cham- pions.

BASKETBALL Our young, inexperienced Teutons of Inman High rose to unexpected heights in the 1964-1965 basketball season. The Mid-Kansas League is known as one of the toughest competitive leagues in the state, and Inman finished in a tie for 3rd. Following League play, the Teutons blazed through three hard- fought games to win the Chase District Tournament. Then, as District Champ- ions, the Teutons ended the season by placing a prideful 3rd in the St. John Regionals. Our team aroused much school and community spirit through their outstanding playing.
