I I I I I Journalism A Club The Journalism Club, ' organized in T949, pro- vides interested stu- dents with an oppor- tunity to study and put into practice funda- mentals of journalism. It encourages self-ex- pression and ioy in writing. The members edit the 'monthly school paper and the yearbook and sponsor a talent show each year. Commercial Club In the Commercial pClub, which is in its fourth year, students I are taught to operate the mimeographing ma- chines, to become bet- ter acquainted with their typewriters, and to do artyping. Arts E1 Crafts Club The members of the Arts and Crafts Club make posters and do freehand drawing. Also while the girls do fancy work, the boys make candy. The Library Club The library club, or- ganized in I95I, has a three-fold purpose: to promote an interest in books and reading, to create an interest in library work as a pro- fession, and to extend courteous, efficient li- brary service to all high school pupils and teachers. Hi-Y Club The purpose of the Hi-Y Club, sponsored by the YMCA, is to create, maintain, and extend throughout the school and community high stan- dards of Christian character.
