BASKETBALL Although the Rams had a slow start this season by being defeated by Ballard and Roose- velt in the first two league games they put together the longest league winning streak of twelve games and was the only team in the league to beat every team they played. The highlight of the season was the Rams' triumph over Roosevelt in double overtime by the score of 61-60. The Roughriders still refer to the day as Black Tuesday . With identical league records of twelve victories and two defeats Ingraham met Roose- Phil Bohn Senior Guard velt in the Pavilion for the North Division playoff game. Spirits were high on both sides but only one team came out the winner-Roose- velt. After the defeat to Roosevelt for the North Division Championship the Rams met Garfield to decide the third berth to the State Tourna- ment, and also met defeat. Although the Rams were only fourth place in the Metro League, they unquestionably had one of the finest teams in the city.
