As an organ of student opinion, the CASCADE- performed a valuable func- tion in enlightening the community about teenage problems and ideals. In the sixteen issues of the CASCADE, such subjects as grade pressures, student riots, movie censorship, vocational training, and teacher opinion. Members of the advanced journalism class, in their effort to report news accurately and interestingly, often stayed long after school to carry on interviews and research. The pandemon- ium consisted of deciding on a suitable theme, writing copy, drawing layouts, and scheduling pictures.
