Eyes had to travel fast to keep up with the ball. They met defeat only in the first match against Lincoln, but the Lynx had been pre- viously noted as a real threat in the Northern Division. League competition was not the sole target of the team members. Inter-team compe- tition was also at full swing. Members challenged each other in hopes of raising a notch in team standings. The fast pace of tennis of- fered exercise and challenge for players, excitement for spectators and points for Ingraham toward the All- Sports Trophy. Ken Sandin J eff Goforth Ray Dixon

Following a ball and sev- eral golfers down the green is not as alluring as sitting down to Watch a sport. Despite the lack of cheering onlookers, Ram team spirit and past ex- perience was an adequate sub- stitute for building one of the best golf teams in the city. At midseason, Ram putters were undefeated. Hope for five points toward the All Sports Trophy was high. Re- turning lettermen and a new coach Worked with new mem- bers to practice effective skills necessary for victory.

Intramurals are for fun-seeking athletes The Physical Education Department, under the direction of Miss Henry and Mr. Zeger, provided an Intramural Program for Ingraham's fun-seeking athletes. Flash football and basketball were of special in- terest to the boys. One of the active basket- ball teams even gained fame by defeating the teachers in the Faculty-Student Bas- ketball Game. Co-educational sports, such as vollyball, had many participants. Inter-roll room competition added further to the enthusi- asm. Fencing and archery oifered outlets for the more creative types of physical energy of both boys and girls. Still other students tested their aiming accuracy in the P.T.A. bowling league. However, the highlight of the year for the Intramural Program was the winning of the All-City Swimming Championship. About twenty boys and thirty girls, coached by Mr. Fain and Miss Henry, comprised the P.T.A.-sponsored swim team. A sincere love for swimming and complete dedication on the part of every team member prompted this victory. g 1 1 GIRLS' SWIM TEAM - FIRST ROW: M. Robertson, S. Easter, M. Macdonald, B. Rodgers, L.
