C 2 i 0 7 Mr. Herman Siegel, who was born and raised in Connecti- cut, has been at Inglewood for five years. He received his B.A. degree at Santa Barbara and his Master's at Southern California. His main ambition is teaching here at Inglewood. The subjects he teaches are: general shop, crafts, and metal shop. When asked if he would make a statement on the senior class, he said very proudly that the Seniors are the finest group of individuals that one can hope to work with. It is indeed with great appreciation to Miss Mooney and Mr. Siegel, who are the loving friends and advisors of the class of 1952, that we dedicate The Green and White of 1952.

OfM ArW It is the job of the closs odvisors to guide a class through their four years of high school and plan with them their activities that will fulfill their fancy in high school and also prepare them for the social life after graduation. So it is with our senior advisors, but they hove done more than just their work. They are the close friend of everyone in the class. Even to those whom they do not know very well, their help, advice and counsel is available. Miss Marion Mooney, born in Illinois, went to high school and to college in California. She received her degree and teaching credential at U.C.L.A. She has been in Inglewood for two years and enjoys it very much. Among her subjects are typing and business math. She said that she has enjoyed working with all the students of the senior class and considers them quite exceptional. Page 8

So longas we are renenbercdL,welive Solon as oar [n fi itenee lfves we serve If is with our greatest sympathy and kindest thoughts that we look upon “Daddy Green, who passed away this year. Daddy Green, a Stanford graduate, did much for Inglewood High School; he was principal of our high school for many years and he was also superintendent of the district. He directed the first play ever presented at our high school. He did much in the interest of sports; he was one of the men who founded the C.I.F. and for many years was secretary. He was truly loved by all who knew him for he took a very personal interest in all his students; he even had records of two or three generations. The year before his death had been his most glorious one for he had his golden weddipg anniversary, celebrated his fiftieth year in the Masonic Lodge, and had the George M. Green auditorium dedicated to him. We can only hope that in the future we shall know other such persons as this great educator, great man, and great friend. Page JO
