Known to both teachers and students as “Doc , Mr. Slattery has been the indispensable man for most cam- pus activities, since he came to Inglewood High School in September, 1931. Few people on campus realize the variety of tasks which fall upon the Stage Crew Direc- tor. During the day he teaches two classes — stage- crew and audio-visual machines; in night school he teaches woodshop. This, however, is but a small part of his service to the school. He and his stage crews, many of whom are now Inglewood business men, have ftude sets, and worked lights and scenery shifts for musicals, variety shows, Christmas programs, ■fcrstivals, concerts, rallies and assemblies. perience. There is a lot of hard work connected with producing an annual, but there is fun to it also. In planning such an im- portant project as a group, many happy relationships are built. This spirit was present at the staffs Christmas party, and in the many happy hours spent working over coke bottles and ‘'Korn Kurls” late into the afternoon.
