Class Pla MIND OVER MUMPS Here is the dramatic comedy story of the love of an attractive young teen-age student, Kathy Murray, Uerri Ayresti, for her young and handsome English Professor, Mr. Philip Bentley lplayecl by Steve Rothj, who was an amateur psychologist. Need- ing an excuse to get her professor to pay attention to her, Kathy and her girl friend, Millie Higgins lEmily Youngj, created a queer sister story. Since Mr. Bentley is now doing extra work in psychology, he finds this new case most interesting--es- pecially when two queer sisters appear. The little neighbor girl, Mary Beth Lindsey lplayed by Dianne Creeki, who was known as a ham actress, was to take the part of the crazy sister, but the measles delayed her from playing her part on time, and the only possible fill-in was that dear little bro- ther, Alexander Murray lDean Williamsi. He did make such a lovely little sister, and he really was a whacky sister, too, remember? Poor Mr. Bentley had our sympathy when both crackpot little sisters did arrive--and to make things worse, both of them appeared at the same time. After Professor Bentley had nearly lost his mind, and Kathy's plot had been revealed, the play came to an abrupt and climatic close when Mrs. Murray Uudy Allenl, enter- ed with the shocking news that Mary Beth had exposed everyone to the Mumps. It was the greatest comedy of the year, and we'll never forget it. Of COUFS8, along with the play was the appearance of the Chipmunks who sang Alvin, and his Harmonica . Boy, could those fellows singl?Q and act! Who ever thought Alan Sproles, Royce Whitlock and Donald Crow could sing or act like Chip- munks? All of us enjoyed the songs which were presented by the Christian School Glee Club. Those kids really could sing, couldn't they? And---who could ever forget the ap- pearance of Sis Hopkins lSaundra Jonesl and her emotional rendition of My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean l ! Then there was the Tomboy lPfe5enieCl bb' l-lndo Lovel- Oh, the heartaches of being a girl when you'd much rather be a boy--but, such is life. 9 ii' J A fx ., 1 -inf 41 at I1 41 Q A
