WHERE IS OUR CONSISTENCY IF WE PLACE OUR CHILDREN IN THE HANDS OF SECULAR TEACHERS WHO PREPARE OUR CHILD- REN FOR A LIFE WHICH IGNORES AND DISHONORS BOTH GOD AND CHRIST? SUCH IGNORING OF GOD AND FORSAKING OF CHRIST WILL HAVE DIRE CONSEQUENCES. WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM AN EDUCATION THAT BY THE SUPREME COURT RULING HAS CLOSED THE PUBLIC SCHOOL DOOR TO THE TEACHING OF GOD'S WORD? RECALL THE WORDS OF THEODORE ROOSEVELT, HMERE EDUCATION WITHOUT DIVINE GUIDANCE, IS LIKE HANDING A GUN TO AN IRRESPONSIBLE MAN. WE MUST TRAIN CHRISTIAN LEADERS IF WE AS HOMES, CHURCHES, AND AS A NATION WOULD WARD OFF THE ANTI-CHRISTIAN IN- FLUENCES THAT NOW TEND WARD TREND OF SOCIETY, BIBLICALLY TRAINED AND CRISIS. THE CHRISTIAN TO ENGULF US. TO CHECK THE DOWN- WE NEED MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE BEEN FORTIFIED TO MEET TH PRESENT HOUR SCHOOL MILL PREPARE A TYPE OF CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP TOMORROW WHICH IS SADLY LACKING TODAY I AM SURE THAT YOU WANT YOUR CHILDREN IN A SCHOOL THAT WILL PROPERLY EDUCATE THEM FOR THE DUTIES OF LIFE, TO STUDY SOLID SUBJECTS AND NOT PROJECTS, TO BE TAUGHT FIGURE ACCURATELY, AND SCHOOL IS THE ANSWER. TO BE OCCUPIED WITH UNNECESSARY THE THREE R'S--TO READ PROPERLY, TO TO WRITE LEGIBLY. THE CHRISTIAN NOT ONLY WILL IT GIVE YOUR CHILDREN A MORE USEFUL EDUCATION, BUT IT WILL ALSO TRAIN THEM IN A CHRISTIAN ENVIRONMENT. EACH DAY IS OPENED WITH PRAYER, GOSPEL CHORUSES ARE SUNG, ALLEGIANCE IS PLEDGED NOT ONLY TO OUR NATIONAL FLAG, BUT ALSO TO THE CHRISTIAN FLAG. ALL TEACHERS ARE BORN AGAIN CHRISTIANS. THE BIBLE IS TAUGHT AS A REGULAR SUBJECT AND TH CHILDREN SOON BECOME BIBLE STUDENTS. CHRISTIAN EDUCATION IS DEDICATED TO THE PROGRAM WHICH SUBSTITUTES THE GLORIFICATION OF GOD FOR THE GLORIFI CATION OF MAN. IT TEACHES THE STUDENTS TO LOVE THE LORD OUR GOD WITH ALL THEIR MIND, HEART AND STRENGTH. WHILE MAN EDUCATIONALLY CLAIMS OUR CHILDREN FOR MAN, GOD CLAIMS THEM FOR HIMSELF, WHOSE CLAIM WILL BE HONORED WHEN SCHOOL OPENS NEXT SEPTEMBER. C. E. WARSTLER, I Secretary of the Board fpfwc vf cffhz . , Z p ff ze T ,nl i ' The Board of Education consists of three fine Christian men whose lives are fully dedicated to the Lord's service. They put the school, home and church training of children high on the necessities for Christian growth. They believe that we cannot rear a generation without God and expect it to submit to the rule of God. They believe in a high standard of educa- tion with emphasis placed on fundamentals in scholastic work and Bible training. These men feel it a glorious privilege to work in this capacity and be able to say with the Apostle Paul, nBut thanks be unto God who always leadeth us in triumph of chr1st.H P x ' XX ' S' A ' P Q X Y I X he f SU' s S 1 ' ' A ' X ' ' I A ' , ' A N 'vstvvvvvvvvvvVVvv.vvvVVVvvv.z . , l QM , I42t3..f , ,. , ,I ,LIU ,M Q - l s 4 . , 4 A A .r 4, X gg? We leave the future to take care of itself! Who could ever forget Nwildcat Willieu, our eighth grade class play. Such a wild one!!! Remember what a time Uwildcat Willlen Cplayed by Mike Ashburnb had when he had to act like HCousin Susien from Seattle. He even had to dress and talk like her. Even though HGladysH, Wildcat's sister lplayed by Janet Murrayl d1dn't mean to, she sure got Willie into a fix by using him as a model to put the hem straight in her new dress, but in the end she did stick up for him by saying he was a wonderful brother. We'll never forget the surprised looks on the faces of Willie's two buddies fJoe, played by Roy Burlesong and Vernon, played by Mike Cadenheadl when Willie, the 'Woman hater and tough Wildcat Tamer' appeared in a girls dress. Remember how Gladys's two girlfriends CCel1a, played by Annette Kennedyg and Kathie, played by Patsy Lieber! teased poor Willie by calling him nEeaut1fulH and nwilhelminan, and oh, how provoked they were when Willie was found playing with Kathie's knitting and wearing her hat. Poor abused Willie!!! Just to think that Willie would help with the housework to get a promised pair of boxing gloves! My, how involved he got just because he was willing to be helpfull!!! The nMelodettesn and HGirls Glee Clubn added good music to the program and we were honored with the presence of uThe Thompson Sistersu---remember their rendition of HPlaymatesH. All in all, it was an evening of wonderful fun and entertainment. An evening we will never forget. my S 315 if wr WA. w Hwild t Willien was presented by the eighth grade class on April 5th at the Mgiroe Junior High School auditorium and was directed and produced by Miss Donna Sunkler.
