Hiking club directed its energy to a trip to Mt. St. Helens in mid-June. The people who planned to go on this trip took special climbing lessons to prepare for this memorable accomplishment. There were a few minor excursions during I the year, but the real emphasis was on the big Mt. St. Helen trip. Mr. Fred Dalhem enjoyed his first year with the group and is looking forward to another. Key Club, headed by Mr. Rod Pressy is a community service club sponsored by Kiwanis. This outstanding group spent its free time enriching the lives of the handicapped and elderly people. Rally Squad is Inglemoor’s newest club. This group was formed to promote school spirit and dance during halftime at home basketball games. Mrs. Jan Thumlert kept a paternal eye on the members with Pam Johnson in charge as president. When winter arrives, a dedicated bunch of I.H.S. ski assistants hit the slopes in full force. These students give up eight precious Saturdays, enduring rain. snow, sleet and bus loads of Jr. High kids to aid ski instructors. Science Club's main activity this year was taking a weekend trip to Goldendale. Washington to take data on the total eclipse February 26. 1. Key Club members are (left to right): Mr. Rod Pressey. This was a year of learning for the J.V. Boys Basket- ball team. Mr. Jim Moore expressed that this year’s emphasis was not placed on winning but on giving each player an equal chance to play and to develop their skills in order to form a stronger varsity team for next year. Outstanding players were Mike and Mark Alfano. A highlight for some of the J.V. members was accom- panying the Varsity team to Hawaii. The Sophomore Boy’s Basketball team started out fresh this year with a brand new coach. Mr. Ron Romanick. who replaced Mr. Jerry Rhodes as coach. The team had a tough season but Mr. Ron Romanick said that he was certainly pleased with their efforts. Rick Czapiewski was their leading scorer and rebounder, followed by many other outstanding players such as: Alan Sharp. Brandon Gary and Rusty Ristow. 1. Sophomore Team members are: Front Row; Rusty Ristow. Raja Gopinath. Rick Czapiewski. Dan Woodruff. Rick Schaaf and Brandon Gary. Back Row; Aaron Perry. Rich Sielicki, Rick Goodwin. Dan Dolph. Alan Sharp and Coach Ron Romanick. 2. Sophomore team member drives it up for two. 3. Sophomore rebounders wait in anticipation for Rick Czapicwski's foul shot. 4. Undaunted by Issaquah defenders. Rich Sielicki puts It up for another two points. 5. Brandon Gary moves in smoothly for a lay-in. 6. Rick Czapiewski springs through a mob of Kangs for two.
