From the early basic courses on thorough individualized research, the Science Department is preparing the student for the rapidly changing envi- ronment in which he is placed today. Laboratory techniques are kept up- to-date and many AHS students take advantage of the Workshops held throughout the country in the summer. Fine Arts lt is through the students in the Fine Arts departments that an aesthetic beauty is enjoyed during the year. Choral and instrumental programs are presented as are art exhibits. The courses teach the student to keep pace with the latest cultural of - ferings. Beauty learned here tends to stay with a young person throughout his life because an appreciation and under- standing of art and music is interpreted through participation.
