W . The annual homecoming festivities were started Friday afternoon, October 5, 1956. In the adult division of Iloats, the West Prairie Church won first place with the theme, The Little Brown Church in the Wildwood. The Junior Class won second place with, Pussy Cat, Pussy Cat and the Industry Home Bureau received third place with Jack and Jill. In the grade school division, the PTA won first place with Little Miss Muffet. Neal Skiles won second place with This Little Pig Went to Market, and the Industry Grade School won third place with Banbury Cross. ln the evening, Industry played host to Bushnell-Prairie KING AND QUEEN City for the homecoming football game. lndustry played Bushnell on even terms the first half of the game, but finally lost to Bushnell 33-12. The homecoming dance was held on Saturday night. The Student Council sponsored the dance and Spud Griffeth's Or- chestra played. The King and Queen were crowned at ap- proximately 10:30 p.M. by last year's king and queen: Karl Plank and Peggy Black. The Queen, King, and Attendants, respectively, were: Joyce Aten, Ron Spring, Diana Haney, Burdette Lawyer, Luan Teel, and Brad Fowler. Members of the royalty were chosen from the senior class by the student body. On Sunday afternoon, the new building was formally dedicated and open house was held.
