The principal purposes are to develop agricultural leadership, co-operation and citizenship. The local FFA chapter attempts to encourage and stimulate among members a desire to establish worthwhile farm- ing enterprises on their home farms and promote improved agricultural practices within the community. A challenging program of work was adopted by the local chapter at the beginning of the school year to encourage active participation on the part of each member in the functions and activities of our organization. Each member is encouraged to exhibit his crop or livestock enterprises at the annual vocational show where he competes against other FFA members of the high schools comprising this section. It is hoped through cooperation with the parents and with better quality of crops and livestock a greater number of members will participate in the annual event. Officers were as follows: President, Rodney Russell, Vice President, Dick Pollock, Secretary, Dick Cash: Treas- urei, Bill Pollock, Reporter, Roger Baldnerg Sentinel, Harold Wilson, and Advisor, Mr. Nelson.
