The Council members elect their officers which are: Eugene Heaton, president, Sammy Spring, vice president, and Margaret Brown,secre- tary-treasurer. The faculty sponsor is Mr. Nelson. The Student Council is the student governing body of the school, It may pass any law pertaining to the privileges of the student body. lf the law is approved by the faculty, it is put in effect and enforced by them. The Student Council takes charge of all elections in which the whole school participates, All school parties and programs are under the active supervision of the Council. lt is an active, useful organization which plays a major role in the student activities of the school. The Council is the same symbol of democratic principles and ideals to the school as our government is to the United States.

Wm W fp Q if 1 Q M, The day of our homecommg Nov Z started off wrth the parade of our garly dressed freshmen We had our annual performance of the antrcs of the 1n1t1ated newcomers Before the game we had a Homecomlng parade the f1rst 1D the h1story of Industry Hxgh School The parade consrsted of 15 floats the band aconver txble w1th the lung queen and attendants and the freshmen rn thelr costumes of the day There was a b1g turnout of spectators for the parade and every one enjoyed parttcrpaung or prepanng the frrst Homecomtng parade for our school The judges chose the jumor float from Industry for fust place the semor float from Adau for second place and the sophomore float from Industry for th1rd LaHarpe was our opponent for the bxg game of the season but even wrth the Eagles play1ng a good game we lost wrth a score of 33 '7 The Homecomrng dance was the outstandlng event of the football season The gym was decorated 1n our school colors green and gold A large crowd of students alumm and teachers enjoyed a very pleasant evemng of dancxng The long awarted moment amved when Margre Snowden was crowned Queen of Homecomtng Her two attendants Dorothy Russell and Patty Wtlley t1ed for fxrst attendant Eugene Heaton was crowned Kmg wtth Nelson Snowden and Sammy Sprtng tred for fxrst attendant Left to right Dorothy Russell Patty Willey Margie Snowden Eugene Heaton Sam Spring Nelson Snowden 0 o di I 0 I I . .
