APS AND ICX CULTURAL PROGRAMS The International Cultural Exchange Program and the American Field Service encour- ages students to become involved in interesting and exciting experiences. AFS pro- vides exchange programs, both domestic and foreign, whereby American students live and study abroad or go to another state for a semester or a year. Indio High School hosted several students through these programs. The AFS students were a domestic, Yvonne Leng- stroff, from Montana who stayed for one semester, and a foreign student, Angus West from England of Scottish ances- try or nationality who will be staying until the summer months. Another student, Greg Hutt, from New Zealand, stayed here for over a year. The ICX Program is sponsoring a stu- dent from Japan, Masako Maede, a lovely girl who joined us at semester break. These students have been enjoying the experiences of cultures and areas different than their own. They have also added a new dimension to the lives of Indio High School stu- dents. Siudent Life
