sm Guy JeffCurc1 John Peters Mark Wilson Lindsay Anderson Steve Hay Cal W TER POLO The Indio High School Water Polo team did exceptionally well considering the youth of the team. The starting team consisted of five sophomores and two juniors. The team came in second in the River- side Poly Tournament only after losing to Riverside Poly. Later in the season they won the Ivy League Championship by beating Poly. The overall record for the Aqua Rajahs this year was 16-4. They expect to have even a better season with four returning All League Players, Don Mahaffey, Lindsey Anderson, Mike Duran, and Guy Baker and all CIF player, Guy Baker. The team made it to the second round of CIF by beating Claremont 9-5 but then losing to Villa Park 8-4. The team received an invitation to the International Junior Competition next August in New Zealand. The only obstacle to overcome next year is team desire which ham- pered them this year.
