Some of the things they enjoyed doing this year were the Mexican Fiesta. May Day, and Kite Day. Of course they had a lot of fun at the Christmas and Easter parties also. Their class play was “Happy Birthday, George. The real birthday cake really made the play end in a delicious way! These students liked to read funny and realistic books, such as The Wizard of Oz, Romana Quimby, Age Eight, and Freaky Friday. This group of third graders took field trips to the Petrified Forest, Delta State's Planetarium. Delta Pride Catfish, and Lewis Grocer. Favorite T.V. HILL • THIRD GRADE • These students participated in many ac- tivities. but some of their best ones were the Art contests, computer class, and Spelling Bees. - 3 3. 3 The fads of the year for this class were permed hair, hairbows. Guess Jeans, mini skirts, and Keds tennis shoes. Sarabcth Lee Everyone in this class agreed that “Growing Pains” was the best in T.V. entertainment. In the reading field, they liked the more realistic books. Field trips to Delta Catfish. Lewis Gro- cer. Petrified Forest, and the Delta State Planetarium added a lot of excitement to the year.
