Mississippi State shirts, and Ole Miss shirts. Their favorite colors were blue, green, red. pink, yellow, and peach. In class Mrs. Thornton read her class several books. Among their favorites were hppi Longsux'king. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Stuart Little. On the sporty side, this class enjoyed rainy day games such as Candyland, Battleship. Their school play was “The Library Circus.” They spent a lot of time practicing to make it a success. Their tour of Florewood River Plantation was fun. They enjoyed the blacksmith shop most of all. This class enjoyed participating in several contests: Spelling Matches, Math Contests, and May Day. Some of their favorite activities were Kite Day, computer games, book reports, and the cheerleader clinic. These second graders liked Rock-n- Roll music as well as Country music. Their favorite musicians were the H Beatles. Pce-Wec Herman, and Kenny Rogers. Their favorite T. V. shows were “The Wonder Years.” “The Cosby Show,” Laugh In,” and Saturday morning cartoons. 0 These students love good home-cooking. They said some of their favorite foods 1 were steak, black-eyed peas, grits, and homemade rolls. Of course they also like . pizzas, hamburgers, ice cream, and brownies. They have had a lot of fun participating in their activities. The class play this year was “Happy Birthday. George. During Easter their egg hunt was held inside because of rain. Some of their favorite special days were Kite Day. May Day. and their Mexican Fiesta. They also enjoyed their Christmas party. Each student took part in various contests. Some of these were a classroom spelling bee. art contests, and computer class. These students were really dressed well in their Guess Jeans, jams, tie-died shins. Keds. and hairbows.
