The 1986-87 Indianola Academy cheerleaders are a hard-working group of people. They dedicated part of their summer in preparation for attending cheerleading camp at Mississippi State, where they were capable of turning hard work into loads of fun. At camp they practiced many hours in the hot sun, but all the hard work paid off. They brought home a spirit stick and all blue ribbons. Leigh Walden, whom we are very proud of, was up for the All-American Cheerleader Award. Although the girls were busy cheering, they also developed many close friendships. As all of the football games and basketball games come to an end, an end also comes to the cheering. It is an especially sad time for the seniors (Marcella, Beverly, Beth, Jcre, and Deven) because this will be the last time they ever cheer for the Colonels.
