DEDICATION The 1983 Annual Staff and sponsor are pleased to dedicate the 1983 COL- ONEL’S DIARY to Mrs. Sarah Marshall, whom we consider the epitome of a good teacher. Before we reached junior high, we knew what Mrs. Marshall would expect from us because we had heard older students say, ‘ Watch out for Mrs. Marshall; she won’t stand for any foolishness. We discovered, however, that she was more than a good disciplinarian — that she expected us to learn, that she was fair, that she would be our friend if we would let her, and that we could look to her for extra help if we needed it. We always knew that we could study in Mrs. Marshall's study hall, since she insisted that we study or at least pretend. All through the learning process under Mrs. Marshall, she instilled in us the qualities of school loyalty and achievement in the best tradition of our school motto. In recognition of her guidance and help as a teacher, we proudly dedicate this 1983 yearbook to Mrs. Sarah Marshall. 6
